Friction
Site-Scrub® IPA Device helps you comply with the CDC Guidelines and INS Standards of Practice that recommend the use of a friction scrub to disinfect catheter hubs.

Friction Scrub
Utilizes a Twist and Scrub motion
- Twist the Site-Scrub® IPA Device back and forth 8 times for 10 seconds.
- Remove the Site-Scrub® IPA Device and discard as per facility protocol.
- Allow hub to dry for a minimum of 5 seconds.

Speed
The results of in vitro antimicrobial efficacy showed that Site-Scrub® IPA device is effective for significantly reducing on average ≥99.999% microbial load of the following organisms in 15 seconds: Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Staphylococcus epidermidis (MRSE), Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Candida parapsilosis, Candida albicans.1

Efficacy
The results of in vitro antimicrobial efficacy testing showed that Site-Scrub® IPA device is effective for significantly reducing on average ≥99.999% (≥5 Log10) microbial load of the following microbes, which are known to be associated with catheter line-associated blood stream infections (CLABSI):1

Disinfection of female Luer hubs using an alcohol wipe and Site-Scrub® IPA Device
The Site-Scrub® IPA device was tested at an independent testing laboratory versus an alcohol prep pad in anin vitro antimicrobial efficacy assay for disinfecting female Luer hubs. The Site-Scrub® IPA device reduced on average ≥99.999% (≥5 Log10) of the viable microbes tested from the female Luer surfaces, compared to only 28% (0.14 Log10) on average reduced by the IPA wipe.1

Using the Site-Scrub® IPA device on female Luers resulted in a statistically significant reduction in microbial load compared to the IPA wipe2 (p< 0.001).1
Site-Scrub® IPA Device provided a ≥99.999% (≥5 Log10) reduction on average. The IPA wipe reduced the microbial population on Luers by an average of 28% (0.14 Log10).1
