Vascular Access Device Selection, Insertion and Management Online Course

Bard Access Systems’ Vascular Access Device Selection, Insertion and Management Online Course is designed for experienced IV clinicians who would like to learn how to place PICC and midline catheters. Educational hours will be awarded to registered nurses, who complete this online course and pass the final examination. This course also qualifies as a refresher course for those already placing PICC and midline catheters. (Access Code required )

PowerHohn* Central Venous Catheter (CVC) Training Course

Bard Access Systems’ PowerHohn CVC Training Program is designed for experienced vascular access specialists who desire to place centrally-inserted central venous catheters. This course includes a downloadable syllabus that covers insertion tools and techniques, relevant anatomy, risks and complications, care and maintenance, and documentation. Educational hours will not be awarded for this course.

This program is intended for those health care professionals whose state laws and/or regulatory bodies governing their practice permit the placement of these devices. In order to add this course, you must confirm below that it is within your scope of practice.

Yes, I certify that with the proper training, it is within my scope of practice in the state where I practice to insert, care for, and remove centrally-inserted central lines. (Access Code required )

Ultrasound for Peripheral Access Training Course

Vascular access devices (VADs) have been developed to provide access to the circulatory system for the purpose of delivering intravenous therapies. New technologies have been developed to assist in the placement of VADs including enhanced ultrasound systems. Ultrasonographic-guided intravenous access is more successful than traditional "blind" techniques, requires less time, helps to decrease the number of percutaneous punctures, and can improve patient satisfaction in the subgroup of patients who have difficult intravenous access. Educational hours will not be awarded for this course. (Access Code required )

Sherlock 3CG* Tip Confirmation System (TCS) Training Course

Bard Access Systems’ Sherlock 3CG* Tip Confirmation System (TCS) Training Course is designed to provide an introduction and virtual in-service for PICC clinicians who would like to learn how to place PICCs using the Sherlock 3CG* TCS. Educational hours will not be awarded for this course. (Access Code required )
