AccuCath® Intravascular Catheter System

Engineered to navigate tortuous vessel anatomy for atraumatic delivery, our patented AccuTip™ guidewire is designed to minimize the need for unnecessary needle advancement that may lead to vessel damage and complications.

  1. Minimize Vessel Wall Trauma
Coiled-tip guidewire engineered to navigate tortuous vessel anatomy for atraumatic delivery. Designed to minimize the need for unnecessary needle advancement that may lead to vessel damage and complications.
  2. Echogenic Guidewire Design
Echogenicity of the guidewire is designed to aid in insertion when using ultrasound devices.
  3. Rapid Flash Technology
Notched needle design allows for blood flashback to travel up the catheter shaft for immediate visual confirmation of vessel entry.
  4. Power Injectable
The catheter allows for the injection of contrast media for CT scans at a maximum flow rate of 6mL/sec, 300 psi.
  5. Blood Control1
A blood control valve is integrated into the catheter hub to stop blood flow after insertion until a secure luer connection is made.
  6. Needlestick Safety2
Built-in needlestick safety spring retracts at the push of a button.

1 Blood leakage from the hub may occur unless a complete luer connection is made within 10 seconds.

2 If needle retraction does not occur, depress white button again. If the needle does not retract on the second attempt, carefully withdraw the needle and guidewire and contact Bard Access Systems.
